3 Clear Signs Your Air Conditioner Needs Repair

One of the worst things that can possibly happen on a hot day is your AC breaking down. So, before it gets to that point, you will want to repair your air condition if begins to show some signs of damage. Most times, your air conditioner can begin to break down from humidity and stress and strain from high temperatures so be sure to check your AC frequently to ensure everything is running properly. Here are three clear signs that your AC needs to be repaired.

1. Excessive Noise or Odor

All AC units will make noise but you will want to notice if it begins making a noise it hasn’t before. So, if you hear anything like whistling or clunking, you will want to have an expert take a look at it. Many times the noise can be from a loose screw or part but to be on the safe side, you will want to get it fixed because it can pose larger problems later on. Your AC can also produce odors while it’s running caused from dirty filters, short circuit, mold growing in the ducts, or even a dead animal.

2. Higher Bills

If each time that bill comes in the mail, the cost is higher and higher, then you know you have a problem on your hands. Not only are you pay a lot more out of pocket, but also you will have to pay a whole lot more if your AC completely breaks down. Your AC could have a lot of strain on it. 3. Low Air Flow

You’re supposed to regularly change or clean your air filter because it maximizes the airflow. But, if you did clean the filter and you notice the airflow is still a lot weaker, then you will need an HVAC to take a look at the problem because it can be an issue with the fan or clogs in the AC unit.
